APPLY TO JOIN VERNDOGS AUSTRALIA

Verndogs is always open for applications, all of our application content is seen here.

All Verndogs teams will need to complete a PACA assessment at minimum in order to commence public access. Please visit our “assessments” page for more information.

Teams who cannot pass a PACA assessment may be eligible for our Early Access Scheme. 

Please ensure you submit all parts of your application for a prompt assessment. All applications will be processed within 2 business days of application.

APPLICATION CONTENT

Complete all components for your application to be considered.

PART 1: APPLICATION

The initial application for Verndogs, outlining what level of training you and your dog are up to, any potential issues we may encounter, what your goals are, and your personal details.

PART 2: MEDICAL DECLARATION

A declaration to be completed by your doctor or psychologist. This is a declaration that you meet the standards outlined by the Disability Discrimination Act, 1992, and determine your eligibility for an assistance dog.

PART 3: VETERINARIAN DECLARATION

A declaration to be completed by a qualified veterinarian, to determine that your dog is suitable for assistance dog work, and meets hygiene standards outlined by law.

PART 4: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A document outlining Verndogs Australia's Ethical Standards, including our social media policy, complaints resolution process, legal compliance, and more.

PART 5: ASSESSMENT 

At least one Verndogs Assessment must be submitted with your application in order for it to be considered. The Verndogs PACA assessment is an assessment unique to Verndogs. It assesses the minimum standards outlined by Australian Federal Law, in order to provide proof of training for teams working at this level. This Assessment must be performed every 6 months for Verndogs Teams.
